(Covert Township, MI) – Holtec says its Palisades nuclear power plant in Covert Township is back to operations status. The power plant is seeking to become the first to ever restart in the U.S. after being shut down for decommissioning. It is now authorized to receive nuclear fuel and restart once allowable conditions are met within the approved technical specifications.
Palisades shut down three years ago.
