County Road Association Says $250-Million Annually Needed

(Lansing, MI) – The County Road Association says they need between 200 and 250-million-dollars in funding every year for a decade to get all of Michigan’s local and county-controlled bridges in fair to good condition. Ed Noyola of the association told lawmakers on the state House Transportation Committee that they are “under the gun to come up with some revenue to do this.” The County Road Association also needs to inspect all five-thousand-868 bridges by 2027.

The Ottawa County Road Commission has many projects in the area. Latest being culvert replacement on 112th Ave., north of Van Buren St., Olive Twp.

Project starts : Aug. 25 and will continue through-Sept. 12, 2025
