(Undated) – First time filings for unemployment are increasing across Michigan. That’s according to the U.S. Department of Labor, which says for the week ending August 9th, there were more than 65-hundred first time filings in the state. That number is up by more than 500 filings compared to the week prior. Nationally, the number of initial filings declined for the week.
Unemployment is up in Ottawa County too according to Ottawa News Network.
