(Washington, DC) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer met with President Trump and other administration officials at the White House on Tuesday. According to Whitmer’s office, the governor made a visit to the nation’s capital to raise concerns about the effects the president’s tariff policy is having on her state. The closed-door meeting also included discussions on fallout from changes to Medicaid and natural disaster recovery efforts.
It marks Whitmer’s third time meeting with Trump this year, and she says she’ll do whatever she “can to make life a little easier for Michiganders and strengthen our economy.”
