(Ferndale, MI) — The family-owned Detroit Axle auto supply company is suing the Trump administration over the import tariffs that owner Mike Musheinesh says are threatening the business and their workforce. He tells the Michigan Department of Labor that 102 jobs in Ferndale are at risk.
He says the 72-point-five-percent tariffs on imports have forced them to pay 725-thousand-dollars for every one-million-dollars in goods brought in from other countries. He says there was a 40-to-50-percent reduction in sales as well and says they may have to idle the company.
