(Lansing, MI) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel likes the proposal from the Michiganders for Money Out Of Politics to prevent Consumers Energy and DTE Energy from making political contributions. Nessel adds with her role defending state agencies in possible lawsuits against the ballot proposal, she is keeping an arm’s length away from the idea. But she does support it as a policy move.
Nessel says the two utilities are behemoths when it comes to their ability to donate, and don’t have competition like other companies.
