(Grand Rapids, MI) – Former U.S. attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten is running for state attorney general. Totten was appointed the federal prosecutor for the area by President Joe Biden and served from May 2022 until January 2025. He previously ran for attorney general in 2014, but lost to Republican Bill Schuette.
Totten is the first high-profile Democratic Party member to announce their bid for the office.
