(Muskegon Township, MI) – Big Lake Humane Society in Muskegon Township had a disaster on their hands when the animal shelter noticed a leak around a well pump last month and local companies that responded found several other problems. Among them was one pump wasn’t working, the tank was full of dirt and water, and the only pump that was working had a leak “and was on the struggle bus to Failure Town” according to a Facebook post by the Big Lake Humane Society.
Although they have reached their goal they are always in need of monetary donations and cleaning supplies plus food.
The cost estimate for a new well is around 12-thousand-dollars and officials say they won’t have safe water for the animals to drink until it’s replaced. They are also accepting bottled water donations as well.
