Several Injured in Jamestown Crash

Jamestown Twp., MI (WGHN) –  A three-vehicle crash sent several people to the hospital Sunday afternoon in Jamestown Township. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s office says a VW Beetle driven by an 18-year-old man from Detroit was traveling westbound on Greenly and didn’t stop at the stop sign at 32nd Avenue. He was then hit by a GMC truck driven by an 18-year-old from Hudsonville traveling southbound on 32nd Avenue.

The impact from the crash caused the Beetle to strike an Equinox driven by a 64-year-old man from Hudsonville who was stopped on Greenly, waiting to turn southbound onto 32nd Avenue.
When the cars crashed, the truck rolled over on the west side of the road. According to deputies, the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The driver of the Equinox and his passenger, a 64-year-old woman from Hudsonville, weren’t injured. The driver of the VW Beetle and his passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Caledonia, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The intersection was temporarily closed Sunday afternoon.
