(Kalamazoo, MI) — The U.S. House Districts 4 and 7 in west Michigan will both be represented by Democrats for the next two years. In the 4th District, state Senator Sean McCann defeated Congressman Bill Huizenga and in the 7th, political newcomer William Lawrence knocked off Congressman Tom Barrett.
Barrett has conceded the race. Huizenga is from Zeeland and was seeking his 10th term when Kalamazoo’s McCann defeated him.
