(Hudsonville, MI) – Former daycare worker Austin Hapner is now charged in Ottawa County with 23 charges of sexually abusing children and taking explicit images of them. The 20-year-old is also charged with similar crimes in Kent County. Hapner is accused of sexually abusing children between three and six-years-old in Ottawa County and faces a total of 62 charges in the two west Michigan counties.
He worked at Gro Childcare Academy in Grand Rapids and the Children’s Enrichment Center at Grand Valley State University in Allendale. Thirty victims have been identified in the two counties.
