Holland Twp., MI (WGHN) – A 22-year-old man was hospitalized in serious but stable condition after being struck by an SUV late Monday evening in Holland Township. The crash happened around 10:12 p.m. on northbound US 31 at James Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say a 49-year-old woman was traveling in the left lane of northbound US 31 when the man ran into the crosswalk at James Street. Authorities say the driver had a green light and the right-of-way at the time of the crash.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His condition was reported as stable.
Northbound US 31 was reduced to one lane for about an hour while deputies investigated the crash.
