(Washington, DC) – President Trump says his administration will begin sending checks to over 20 million seniors to help with Medicare costs. In a Truth Social post, Trump said Friday the funds would come from the Medicare Improvement Fund. A White House fact sheet said the payments will be 90 dollars per person and will go to over 20 million Medicare Part B enrollees. Most eligible seniors will receive the money by direct deposit in early October and others will get a mailed check.
Trump also said the new Medicare checks would not interfere with his campaign promise to offer a five-thousand-dollar “Trump dividend” if Republicans retain control of the House and Senate in the midterm elections.
