Over 2 Thousand Pounds Of Sausage Recalled

By Mary Ellen Murphy Oct 1, 2026 | 7:44 AM

(Washington, DC) – More than 2-thousand pounds of frozen pork sausage links are being recalled because they may contain pieces of hard plastic. The U-S-D-A says Fontanini Foods issued the recall after two customers reported finding plastic in the product. The 10-pound cases were shipped to distributors in California, Florida, Michigan and Nevada for use in restaurants and other food service locations.

No injuries have been reported, but officials are concerned some of the recalled sausage may still be in restaurant freezers. Food service businesses should throw away the product or return it to the place of purchase.
