Ottawa County, MI (WGHN) – A 34-year-old Grandville man has been formally charged in connection with a series of alleged peeping incidents reported across Ottawa County over the past year.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Samuel Harsh Wilson was arraigned Monday on charges of disorderly person/window peeping, two counts of surveilling unclothed persons, and home invasion. Investigators said a man had been seen peering into apartment windows between midnight and 3 a.m. The most recent alleged incident occurred near 48th Avenue and Pierce Street in Allendale Township, where a woman reportedly woke up to find a man inside her bedroom. The suspect fled before deputies arrived.
Wilson was arrested September 17 in Georgetown Township. His bond was set at $50,000. Investigators said they used Flock cameras and other technology to help identify a suspect connected to more than a dozen reported incidents.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are possible.
