(Providence, RI) – Americans have spent one-hundred-point-nine-billion-dollars more on fuel since the start of the Iran war. That’s according to Brown University’s Iran War Energy Cost tracker that has looked at fuel prices since the conflict started on February 28th. That total comes out to just over an additional 770-dollars per household. A little more than 55-billion-dollars of the total is from gasoline while just over 45-billion has been spent on diesel.
This comes as Goldman Sachs has warned that the price of a barrel of oil could surge past 120-dollars as tensions in the Middle East rise.
