(Washington, DC) – There appears to be a shortage of estrogen patches used to treat symptoms of menopause. The Food and Drug Administration says it is aware of reports of patients having difficulty accessing the patches and is working with manufacturers to increase supply. The FDA says more women have been seeking treatment for symptoms of menopause leading to a surge in demand.
