(Grand Rapids, MI) – A 20-year-old Grand Rapids man is charged with three counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity among nine felonies. Austin Hapner was arraigned yesterday after he was arrested following sharing videos in online chats of him abusing children at two daycare centers where he worked in Kent and Ottawa counties. Police in Norway alerted U.S. Homeland Security on August 31st of the online activity.
Hapner worked for Gro Childcare Academy in Grand Rapids before he left that job in June this year, and at Grand Valley State University’s Children’s Enhancement Center in Allendale.
