Grand Rapids man sentenced in Georgetown Township child case

Ottawa County, MI (WGHN) – A Grand Rapids man has been sentenced to jail and probation following a child-related offense in Georgetown Township.

Thirty-nine-year-old Jerron Patrick Greer pleaded guilty to accosting a child for immoral purposes in connection with incidents involving a minor under 16 in 2020.

The Grand Haven Tribune reports that a  judge sentenced Greer to 180 days in jail and five years of probation. He received credit for 103 days already served.

As part of his sentence, Greer must follow Michigan sex offender registration requirements and cannot have contact with anyone under 17, except for his biological children. An original second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge was dismissed under a plea agreement.
