CAIR-MI Critical Of Trump Post Targeting Dr. Abdul El-Sayed

(Detroit, MI)  –  A post on Truth Social from President Donald Trump is being criticized by the Council on American-Islamic Relations of Michigan for using the full name of U.S. Senate nominee Dr. Abdul El-Sayed.  CAIR-MI executive director Dawud Walid says Trump used El-Sayed’s full name in the post with a title of “Two VERY DIFFERENT America’s,” with America’s misspelled with an apostrophe before the “s” instead of not being needed.

The post has a picture of Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in formal attire compared to El-Sayed and his wife Sarah dressed casually at a restaurant.  The U.S. Senate candidate says there are two visions of America, and the one we’re living in has grocery and gas prices rising very quickly.  El-Sayed adds he and Sarah like each other, adding on CNN “I don’t know about the First Lady and President, but from what I have heard, it’s a bit of a rocky road.”

CAIR-MI executive director Dawud Walid says President Trump’s Truth Social post criticizing U.S. Senate nominee Dr. Abdul El-Sayed by using his full name isn’t anything new.
