(Grand Rapids, MI) – West Michigan is starting to see drought conditions this week. The latest update from the U.S. Drought Monitor released on Thursday shows abnormally dry conditions are now present in several counties, including Montcalm, Mecosta, Newaygo, and Osceola counties. This is the first time in several months where West Michigan is seeing drought conditions.
Portions of the Upper Peninsula are seeing the worst drought conditions in the state, with moderate and severe drought conditions.
