(Detroit, MI) — Congresswoman Haley Stevens and Dr. Abdul El-Sayed brought their messages to voters in metro Detroit Sunday as they campaigned for votes in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate.
Stevens is a three-term Congresswoman.
El-Sayed marched with supporters from a Detroit cafe to the Spirit of Detroit statue downtown and says his movement is about passing Medicare for everyone and getting money out of politics and back into people’s hands. She held her rally in Madison Heights. The race has grabbed national attention as control of the U.S. Senate is at stake in the November election.
