Port Sheldon Twp., MI (WGHN) – Two teenagers were seriously injured Wednesday morning after a three-vehicle rollover crash at the intersection of Ottawa Beach Road and 152nd Avenue.
The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. when a 17-year-old Holland girl driving a 2005 Jeep westbound ran a red light, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. The Jeep struck a southbound 2015 Chrysler Town and Country, rolled onto its roof, then collided with an eastbound 2020 Chevy Silverado before coming to rest.
The 17-year-old driver and her 18-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals with serious injuries. Deputies said neither was wearing a seat belt. The occupants of the Chrysler and Silverado were not injured.
The intersection was partially closed while first responders cleared the wreckage. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.
