Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – The City of Grand Haven works with other law enforcement agencies during Grand Haven’s Coast Guard Festival.

Mayor Bob Monetza:

The City is reminding Coast Guard Festival visitors about its annual blanket policy. Starting at 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 31, you can place chairs, sheets and caution tape on public property to save a spot for the parade and fireworks. Anything put out before then will be removed. Tents, tarps, rocks, stakes and spray paint are not allowed. Also, all boats must be off the seawall by 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, and won’t be allowed back until 1 a.m. Sunday after the fireworks.

The Festival kicks off tomorrow with the Lighthouse Quilt Guild Show and MEGA 80’s tomorrow evening at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium.
