(Lansing, MI) – The wife of former Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield will spend the next six months on probation after she pled guilty to a felony embezzlement charge. Stephanie Chatfield will be required to pay a two-thousand-dollar fine and complete 25 hours of community service. She had been charged with conducting a criminal enterprise, conspiracy to conduct a criminal enterprise, false pretenses, embezzlement of 100-thousand-dollars or more, filing a false tax return and embezzlement from a nonprofit or charitable organization.
He is still facing charges and his trial is scheduled to begin on September 21st.
