Muskegon, MI (WGHN) – Authorities in Ottawa and Muskegon counties are searching for a missing 77-year-old Grand Haven man who is considered an endangered person.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says Dennis King, who has dementia, was reported missing Thursday afternoon after he was last seen Monday at Trinity Health Muskegon. Investigators say King apparently left the hospital on foot shortly after arriving for treatment, leaving behind the walker he relies on for mobility.
King was last seen near Sherman Boulevard between US-31 and Utah Street. He was wearing black-rimmed prescription glasses, a light blue or aqua zip-up jacket, black pants, and black-and-white shoes.
He is described as a white man with gray hair, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 215 pounds.
According to investigators, King recently moved to Grand Haven and only knows his daughter in the area. She reported him missing and told deputies he does not have a cell phone, would not know how to use one, and has been without his medication since he disappeared.
Anyone with information about Dennis King’s whereabouts is urged to contact Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 800-249-0911 or Ottawa County Silent Observer at 877-887-4536.
