(Lansing, MI) – An agreement has been reached by state lawmakers on Michigan’s Fiscal Year 2027 budget. House Speaker Matt Hall says the budget is smaller than last year and does not include any tax hikes or “raid on the rainy day fund.” The budget will come around 75-point-two-billion-dollars, below the proposal from Governor Gretchen Whitmer of 88-point-one-billion, lower than the Senate-approved budget of 88-billion, and lower than the House-approved budget of 75-point-eight-billion-dollars.

The votes on the budget, however, have not yet happened.
