Cooling Centers In Ottawa County

Ottawa County, MI (WGHN) – The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued an Extreme Heat Warning till 8:00 p.m. July 2nd. There is also an Air Quality Day today in Ottawa County.

Ottawa County Emergency Management says there are many cooling centers in the county.

Wednesday (dinner served) 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Thursday (lunch served) 11:00 am-12:30 pm

Gateway

• Gateway Women and Children’s Center: 356 Fairbanks Ave, Holland, MI 49423, 616-928-3469
The Gateway Men’s Center (men only) and the Gateway Women and Children’s Center (women and children only) will be open for all of those who are unsheltered. Due to the expected heat, the cooling centers will be open during the day through Thursday, July 2.
Gateway Mission will offer Emergency Cooling Centers from 8 AM to 5 PM, beginning at noon on Monday, June 29:
Anyone in need of overnight emergency shelter is encouraged to check in at and stay at Gateway Mission during these hazardous conditions.
