(Walker, MI) – Walker police have released dashcam footage of officers stopping a wrong-way driver on Interstate 96 shortly after 1 a.m. on June 17th. The officers responded to a report of an SUV going east in the westbound lane near Alpine Avenue. They stopped the wrong-way vehicle about a minute after they spotted it, and the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk.
The incident happened two days before two other deadly wrong-way crashes happened in the Grand Rapids area, killing five people.
