Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Wednesday’s severe storms knocked out power to over 100-thousand customers. Wind gusts from the Wednesday night storms were as strong as 60-miles-an-hour and downed power lines statewide. Consumers Energy says they have 500 crews around the state to respond. The hardest hit areas are in Allegan, Kalamazoo, and Van Buren counties.
More outages are possible today with more severe storms in the forecast as there is a threat for severe thunderstorms tonight.
