(Detroit, MI) –The ribbon cutting for the new Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Detroit and Windsor, Ontario is scheduled to happen tomorrow, but the “Detroit Free Press” reports it might be delayed. Two anonymous sources tell the Free Press the ceremony either has been delayed or believe is will be pushed back. The sources describe the delay as a hiccup and not a crisis that would prevent the bridge from eventually opening.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney also said Wednesday that the bridge might not open by the end of this week but added “if it takes a little longer, it’ll take a little longer” and said there is “no big drama.”
