GRAND HAVEN, MI — Residents will have more opportunities to enjoy free live music this summer as Grand Haven expands its popular Free Fridays concert series to additional dates and locations throughout the city.
The Grand Haven City Council approved the expansion June 1, adding six concerts that will be held in three city parks outside of the traditional venue at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium.
The additional performances are scheduled for June 25, July 9 and July 16 at Central Park; Aug. 13 and Aug. 20 at East Grand River Park; and Aug. 27 at Mulligan’s Hollow. All concerts will begin at 6 p.m. City leaders said the expanded schedule will bring live entertainment to more areas of the community while showcasing several of Grand Haven’s parks.
The regular Free Fridays series will continue at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium beginning July 3.
