(Plainfield Township, MI) – The woman who was badly burned in a home explosion in Plainfield Township last week has died from her injuries. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office says she was Lucy Preston, and they say her husband died in the attempted murder-suicide Tuesday morning at their home on Rollaway Drive. She was pulled from the rubble with fourth-degree burns and was hospitalized in intensive care.
Friends of her are vowing to keep her nonprofit, Busia’s Boutique that provides free clothing and toiletries for people in need, operating.
