(Muskegon, MI) – Muskegon Mayor Ken Johnson is condemning racist comments made online about a shooting that injured four people just before midnight Saturday in the Fruitport Township VFW after the Muskegon High School prom. Johnson called the online reactions to the shooting at the post-prom party “disgusting” and says people “had some very damaging things to say, harmful things to say, completely unnecessary things to say about the students in our community.” He added his remarks at the city commission meeting this week were not planned or written, but he urged people to keep investing in and supporting the youth in the community.

Two teenagers were also hit by vehicles when they were running for their lives.
