Governor Declares State Of Emergency For Orion Township Due To Water Main Break

(Orion Township, MI) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer has declared a state of emergency in Orion Township due to a 42-inch water main break. The Great Lakes Water Authority says residents of Orion Township, the Village of Lake Orion, Rochester Hills, and Auburn Hills are being ordered to restrict their water usage during the emergency. Lake Orion Community Schools are closed today along with Avondale School District and Crown of Life Preschool in Rochester.

In addition, employees of Chrysler Technology Center, Lapeer Road Marshalling Center, Chrysler Office Building, Featherstone Road Engineering Center and other facilities are being told to work remotely today.
