(Romulus, MI) — The flight attendants that worked for Spirit Airlines before the carrier suddenly closed over the weekend are getting updates every day at noon through tomorrow from their union. Vilijia Telycenas is the vice president of Local 76 of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA and says the past few days have been very tough for her and others, but help is coming.
She was in Houston when she found out Spirit Airlines was shutting down early Saturday morning without any notice. Former Spirit flight attendant Marianna Cassar is raising money on GoFundMe to help her colleagues with expenses until they get new jobs and has raised 50-thousand-dollars so far.
