(Lansing, MI) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is joining state Senator Sylvia Santana and others in a call to have an outside firm audit the results of the Michigan Democratic Party’s convention races. Santana filed a 53-page appeal with the party over the April 19th endorsement convention after she allegedly lost their Michigan State University trustee race by 15 votes. The results have not been released publicly, but have been leaked to The Michigan Chronicle reporter Sam Robinson.
Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald is also calling for an audit after she lost the convention race for attorney general to Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit.
