Late-Night Crash Sparks Vehicle Fire in Georgetown Township, No Injuries

Georgetown Township, MI (WGHN) – A late-night crash in Georgetown Township ended with flames at a busy intersection—but no injuries.

Deputies say it happened around 10 p.m. Friday at Port Sheldon Street and 18th Avenue. A Dodge Nitro was traveling north with a green light when a Ford Fusion heading south attempted to turn left in front of it.

The crash caused one of the vehicles to catch fire, bringing in the Georgetown Township Fire Department. Everyone involved was able to get out safely before crews arrived.

No injuries were reported, and the crash remains under investigation.
