Torkelson Ties Tigers’ Record With Home Run In Five Straight Games

(Cincinnati, OH) – Spencer Torkelson has tied the Detroit Tigers‘ record by hitting a home run in five consecutive games. Torkelson powered the Tigers to an eight to three win over the Cincinnati Reds Sunday with the blast.

 

He joins Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg, Rudy York, Vic Wertz, Willie Horton, and Marcus Thames with a home run in five straight games. The Major League Baseball record is eight consecutive games with a home run, held by Ken Griffey Jr., Don Mattingly, and Dale Long.
