(Grand Haven, MI) – Lake Michigan’s water level is significantly higher as a result of a lot of rain that has fallen so far this month. Most parts of west Michigan have received between 200 and 300-percent of the normal rainfall and through April 18th, this has been the wettest start to any year on record.
The lake has risen ten-inches from March 17th to April 17th. That rise is equal to eight-trillion gallons of water.
