Grand Haven Twp., MI (WGHN) – A 58-year-old woman from Grand Haven Township who had been missing for several days was found alive Thursday afternoon, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Kelly Stewart was discovered around 4 p.m. in the 12800 block of 144th Avenue by nearby residents. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment for exposure and is expected to recover. Authorities said Stewart became disoriented while out walking and sought shelter near an unoccupied home. She had last been seen Monday after leaving for a walk near Pinewood Drive and Wintergreen Street.
Officials noted that media coverage of her disappearance played a key role in her rescue, as the residents who found her recognized she was missing and quickly contacted emergency responders.
