Tick-Borne Diseases Surge in Michigan, Lyme Cases Up 1,800% in Kent County

Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Ticks and tick-borne diseases have skyrocketed in Michigan over the last 5-6 years. Lyme disease cases in Kent County alone have increased more than 1,800% since 2020. March and April are crucial months for ticks as they start emerging when temperatures consistently stay above 40 degrees.
