(Grand Rapids, MI) – A Michigan warehouse may be turned into an ICE detention center. The Department of Homeland Security is wanting to expand holding facilities across the U.S., with Bloomberg reporting that they’re looking at “23 different warehouses to be converted into ‘immigration jails.'” A facility in Romulus is now on the list of warehouses, holding only 500-beds.

Michigan is already home to one ICE detention facility in Baldwin that holds 18-hundred-beds.
