Great Lakes 55% Covered By Ice

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Great Lakes are now 55-percent covered by ice, up from 42-percent last week. Lake Erie is 95-percent covered, and Lake Huron’s coverage has increased from 51-percent last week to 72-percent now.

Lake Michigan is 36-percent covered by ice, Lake Superior is up to 47-percent covered in ice, and Lake Ontario’s ice coverage is the lowest at 35-percent, up from 24-percent last week.
