Allendale High School closed as sheriff’s office investigates threat

Allendale, MI (WGHN) – Allendale High School is closed today as the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office investigates a threat of violence. The school located as 10760 68th Avenue in Allendale Township received the threat via voicemail and alerted the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office around 6:41 a.m. today.

The Sheriff’s Office remains on the scene investigating the incident and is working closely with school officials. The district’s school resource deputy and patrol deputies are also on the scene to ensure there is no credible, active danger to the students, staff or community, The Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by a Grand Valley University Department of Public Safety K-9 officer.
