Two Former Chatfield Aides Receive Delayed Sentences

(Grand Rapids, MI) – Two former aides to ex-Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield have received a six-month delayed sentence. Forty-eight-year-old Robert Minard and his wife, 38-year-old Anne Minard, pled guilty to two charges. Both pled guilty to filing a false tax return, while he pled guilty to larceny by false pretenses and she pled guilty to embezzlement. They agreed to testify at the trials of Chatfield and his wife, Stephanie, as they are charged with several financial crimes.

Lee Chatfield faces 13 charges, and Stephanie Chatfield is facing two charges.
