Nessel To Intervene In Consumers Energy’s Gas Rate Hike

(Lansing, MI) — Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel will intervene in Consumers Energy’s natural gas rate hike request. The utility is asking permission by the Michigan Public Service Commission to increase rates by 240 million dollars a year.

That would be a nearly ten percent increase and comes three months after Consumers increased rates for natural gas by 157-point-five million dollars.
