(Grand Rapids, MI) – A semi driver drove into oncoming traffic on Interstate 96 near Grand Rapids yesterday afternoon after he had a medical issue and lost consciousness. It happened when the truck was eastbound on I-96, and went through the median barriers and stopped on the embankment off of the shoulder of westbound I-96. The semi did not hit any other vehicles.
The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital, and his condition is not known.
