(Lansing, MI) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has joined two multistate amicus briefs supporting the challenges by the states of Illinois and Oregon to the National Guard being deployed. Chicago and Portland have been targeted by President Trump for the crackdown, and Nessel says he has used bombastic rhetoric and lies as the pretext for the military action.
The Attorney General says “President Trump is trying to weaponize the military against the very people he swore to serve, a clear violation of the Constitution.”
