(Grand Blanc Township, MI) — Grand Blanc Township residents turned out by the hundreds for a vigil last night at the high school football stadium to honor the victims of the LDS church attack that killed four people and injured eight. Superintendent of Grand Blanc Community Schools Dr. Trevor Alward was among the speakers.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Bishop Jeffrey Schaub thanked everyone “for loving thy neighbors through their tribulations,” and said they know through “faith and hope we will be well.” First responders received a standing ovation at the vigil.
